Infiniti, the luxury line of Nissan, a Japanese auto company, was introduced in the US in 1989. The current line of Infiniti vehicles uses the Nissan FM Platform. The engine is placed behind the front axle and as close to the firewall as possible. This give the vehicles a near equal weight distribution.
